Calls to end 'youth housing penalty' (ABC, 24/3/25)

Young people experiencing homelessness say it's critical the next federal government fixes a situation which is leaving them locked out of the social and community housing system.

Under current regulations community housing providers earn around 46% less for housing an 18 to 22 year old person on the youth allowance payment, than they do for housing a person on the age pension.
